Privacy Policy
What Comfort Plus collects when you visit our site or request HVAC service, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.
Comfort Plus ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect through comfortplus.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. By using the Site or scheduling services through it, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to your request and run our business:
- Contact-form submissions: name, email address, phone number, property type, service requested, and the message you write.
- Service records: the address where work is performed, equipment installed or serviced, dates of service, and payment details (we do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by our credit-card processor).
- Site analytics: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time on page, collected through Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.
- Anti-bot challenge data: we use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that contact-form submissions come from humans. Cloudflare may collect technical data about your browser and request to perform this verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule service;
- Send appointment confirmations, technician arrival updates, and follow-up notes;
- Process payments and provide warranty documentation;
- Improve the Site and our services based on aggregated, non-identifying usage data;
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax, contractor-licensing, and recordkeeping requirements.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site or our business (email delivery, anti-bot screening, analytics, payment processing, financing partners). Each is contractually limited to using your information for the purpose we engaged them for.
- Equipment manufacturers when needed to register a system for its warranty.
- Government authorities when required by law or to enforce our rights, such as responding to a subpoena.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: a session cookie used by the Site itself, a Cloudflare Turnstile token while you complete the contact form, and Google Analytics cookies for traffic measurement (with IP anonymization). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site (notably the contact form) may not function correctly if you do.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site relies on these third-party processors:
- Cloudflare Pages + Turnstile — site hosting and anti-bot challenge for the contact form (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
- Resend — delivery of contact-form emails to our inbox (Resend Privacy Policy).
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymized site-usage analytics (Google Privacy Policy).
6. Data Retention
We keep contact-form submissions and service records as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide the service, honor warranties, and meet legal recordkeeping requirements. After those periods expire, we delete or anonymize the information.
7. Your Rights (California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it;
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information;
- Ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions);
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you may still submit a request to confirm.
To exercise any of these rights, email comfortplushvacr@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you are exercising. We will respond within 45 days as required by California law.
8. Security
We protect information in transit with HTTPS and limit access to the staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we promptly investigate suspected incidents and notify affected customers as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, post a notice on the Site or email customers who have given us their address. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Policy.
